Sorry here is the proof you are wrong that they were saying the same thing about Il-2 as they were about CoD on release.

The review aggregator Metacritic gives IL-2 Sturmovik a score of 91 out of 100, while GameRankings, another review aggregator, gives a score of 91.31%

The reviews are vastly worse for CoD than any of its predecessors.
