Common guys you must admit this is a strange way to release a game.
They release a game knowing it is not even remotely near completion without telling their customers anything about that.
It is like buying a new car that does not have a enigine yet and the seats and steering wheel will be delivered after a year or so.

Now they promise thankfully that they will try and fix the game , it will only take one or maybe even two years ---hurray----

If they told me beforehand the realeased game would be unfinished I would be a lot more forgiving, now I am feeling cheated.

So yeah communication is lacking.
So from now on no more lies, no more secrets, keep us the customers updated.
And please someday tell us the whole story, what went wrong, why was the game released and what really happend to Oleg.
Oh and please stop attacking the people who are complaining about the game, there is nothing wrong with feeling angry at the moment.

anyone realise the developers can not communicate about anything to do with anything to with the strange release of the game. All they can do legally is get on with the poor show. They can make amends and by all accounts they wll try. but that may only come with a new product that is rightfully and soleley their's by default. Not Oleg,s and certainly not ubisofts.

You do get the feeling that COD is slipping away...

And the team is working more on the next product.

Again this is pure speculation on my part, but its how it looks to me.

well ive unistalled it today. and it wont be going back in anytime soon. (when sound is patched probally) lol. i have spent the last few months really trying, 108 hrs in COD. The end is here though.

but regards your comments. It has slipped away from me because of whats been said in another thread. Not only that but the only way forward is this way IMO. unfortunatly, "It takes a second to wreck it, It takes time to build". Oleg should have stayed and overseen the commitment and then left by what ever means necissary! but then again ive heard he sabotaged it and possibly rightfully so. You just dont takeaway someones Baby do you.

Doubt it, purely because unless Clod gets fixed, people will simply not buy the next product.
Once bitten, twice shy and all that.

If they told me beforehand the realeased game would be unfinished I would not have bought the product and UBIsoft probably would have had a legal issue with it.
So yeah communication is lacking, even though the major problems have been acknowledged and it has been clearly communicated that these issues are being worked on as a priority.
So from now on no more lies, no more secrets, keep us the customers updated.

Oh and please stop attacking the people who are complaining about the game, there is nothing wrong with feeling angry at the moment. However, there is a lot wrong with being abusive and/or insulting to either other forum members or employees of 1C whose forum is provided to us all for free.
Firstly, no attacks here, just saying. The real problems come from a lack of regulations regarding the computer games industries, where publishers (who don't care a jot about the content or state of the software product) control the flow of money to the developers, do all the hard advertising and set all the deadlines for release, patches etc... All they care is that they got your money. The correct place to complain about this is with the publishers who unfortunately don't have ears, at least not for you or me. The only thing they hear is $$$ and if you really want them to listen you have to stop giving it to them. If you live outside of Russia, UBIsoft is the root cause of all these problems. 1C seem to me to be doing their best to solve them for us, so lets just give them a chance, they've come through in the past, no?

Hmm the poll seems to be closer to 55%/45% Unhappy/Happy now.

Ok then let's say it like this...
If they would of told me beforhand that the to be released game was unfinished but
they needed the money to finish the game and keep the legal guys from Ubisoft of their backs... then I would indeed honor such honesty with paying for the game so they would have a chance of finishing it.

We all know they decided not to do that.
Nobody here knew COD was in such a poor product before it was released not even the most loyal fanboys.
Ubisoft knew, 1C knew ..Oleg knew and decided to head for the hills.... digg a foxhole and await the barrage of complaints.
If only they would of told US the customers ...explained the situation and asked us to help them out.... this would be lot different.
so yeah communication was and still is very poor.

Seeing as Luthier himself posted not so long ago saying how he "feels the weight of his failure" to maintain proper communications with the community, any argument to the contrary is quite useless.

Yes I agree, unfortunately Luthier words come very cheap these days, what he says and what he does are very seperate things.

Well my fanboyism (is that a word) is starting to wear thin, havent been able to play for a while as firstly they messed up the pp on the 109 and now the sounds drop out, a month ago I would have voted "i would like to get a update more often but im not worried"
But now I am voting
"The communication has been poor and not what i would expect, not very happy."

With the supposed release to the US today the silence on all forums is deafening, for the small amount of time it would take to let customers know what is happening, they could win a few sales, they have really dropped the ball on this.
