These 'slight freezes' sure only lasts for a fraction of a second, but it occour -in worst case for me- as often as 2-3secs between. Put that together and it behaves more like lag than 'slight freezes'

Im not trying to be picky in any way but the demo did not suffer from this at all and that's why im both surprised and dissapointed.
It could be my ps3 that's the problem or there will come a Fix for it, if this will show to be a major issue.

We'll just have to wait for the majority of ps3 owners to recieve their game and hear what they have to say about it.

if they are occuring every 2 - 3 seconds then its certainly a major issue, thats going to ruin the game experience for you and no mistake.

i only got these freezes on the first russian mission in the IL-2, so far. do you get it on every mission? or are some worse than others? i wonder if it has something to do with which plane you are flying as i only encountered anything like it in the IL-2.

i dont think its your PS3 or setup thats causing it - it shouldnt matter that you have a japanese PS3.
as more people get hold of the game we will see if its a widespread problem, hopefully its something that can be resolved in a patch (although that doesnt help you to play now)

I hope that, if developers invert more time on PS3 version, they invert the same effort on improving Xbox version, because the game costs the same on both platforms. And, if the patch for PS3 version arrives day D, an Xbox 360 download will be available at the same time. So... we´ll see which company puts more money on developers, Microsoft or Sony? Let´s the game begin.

As I said before: Im only playing single player and NOT online in any form. I have not signed in to PSN and not using chat-function. I dont even have the ethernet cable connected. In other words: Totally Offline.

Thanks for the advise anyway..

I finally got the game today and played all afternoon.. No big issues. the fraction of a second freeze is there, but it was there in the demo as well...Other than that, the screentear is about the same as in the demo, but apart from that: all smooth sailing on my ps3 system.

Slight bug: when using the T master Hotas in third person and using the hatswitch,it sometimes snaps back in cockpit view (even if you didn't select it )

Every now and then the game freezes for a split-second, but other than that its fine. The online is a blast to play, but there is some lag.

This is exactly my thoughts as well. A bit of tearing mostly on cockpit view (only when looking around). The milli-second screen freeze is no big deal IMO...
