It might be framerate, I'm on 360 but I get that problem a little bit on some games, BoP included. I've only noticed it during the tutorials once or twice though, after that I've been clear for the rest of the tutorials and the campaign, never saw it again.

If it's possible on ps3, installing to your HD might help. Also check if there is a setting in the game options to lower the framerate setting on the game.

That's all the advice I can give, someone else might know more than me.

When you start the game for the first time it installs on the HDD automatically. I dont know how much information it needs from the disc during gameplay, but as the demo only uses the HDD it could be some side-effect when both the disc and HDD is involved together, that are causing these slightly pauses.

It could also have to do with the framerate as you mentioned mattd27 but I haven't found any option in the game that are letting you change this.

I will examine this more closely later today.
