If achilles_ny doesn't mind, I'll just tag on here here to introduce myself in my first post, rather than start a whole new thread. Partially because I'm in very much the same situation as him:
I'm another old (pushing 40!) escapee of the PC flight sim scene of the 90s who hasn't played a real sim (or even owned a gaming PC) in years. And I, too, have felt the old longing for the freedom of the skies return when I heard about a proper sim coming to consoles. Here's hoping that 1C and Gaijin don't let us down! :)
This may sound a little crazy, but if BoP turns out to be as good as promised I may well buy it on both Xbox 360 and PS3 since I own both consoles already, just to maximise my own chances of getting to play online with fellow devotees.
