The bottom one looks like its being dismantled for spares - the prop is bent as if it belly landed and I doubt they'd strip everything including the wings just for a service.
Great pic though. Hood ps the top Spit looks like a 2-seater. Second only to a Merlin-engined Buchon on my all-time list of fugly aircraft. Last edited by Hood; 09-07-2012 at 11:13 AM.
