You need to give credit where credit its due.

The last Beta patch cut whining by about 70% on this forum and has brought some civility and purposeful discussions. To me that says that it couldn't have been all bad.

The next patch will bring new improvements.

I don't need to believe in a golded 'Patch' that will make the game perfect. It just won't happen.

Small steps forward is all that's needed.

[QUOTE=Redroach;457823]Rumour has it that there will be a big patch released today, which contains:
-Fixed FMs for every plane which is in need to correction - FMs should get pretty close to the original values now
-Repaired cloud/tree/building spawn behaviour Objects popping up from nowhere should be a thing of the past now. And: Added collision model for trees(!).
-Fully working Radio traffic ftom ground station(s) and plane-to-plane, finally!
-Vastly improved netcode; people should be able to put in objects on the map at their pleasure, without too much performance issues. Also, the SDK is "right around the corner", as they say.
- better plane/object(s) texture performance; People should be able to choose a texture size other than "original size" without getting the blurry textures as of now.
...

Great news, Redroach. I will spread it all over the www right now! Keep up the good work.

Yeah you have to forgive him. Canberra is worse than the waste lands of Siberia. And to top it off it is full of Australian politicians.

Yes we are all playing the game now, that's why it is so quiet on the boards. The last patch really made the game enjoyable for me both offline and online. I now find myself playing so much that I rarely post here anymore! It's so much better now, the difference is truly remarkable. Now when the online play has been so much improved we can just sit back and watch as all the squads starts playing again and setting up servers. Olegs prediction of thousands of players at once might just come true...

Unhappy

I went over to the Russian COD website... and through the google translator, there was not much info about any patches coming up... just the usual people jabbering about nonsense.. joking around, witha sprinkle about general improvements wanted..

so,, the misleading jabbering about upcoming patches just gets people excited for nothing...

IMHO

Hate to burst your bubble and bring you down. But there will be no patch today. Still a good 2 weeks to a month away.

Maybe
