FYI I haven't played the game and this is a picture from the website so i do not have any idea what the setting are no but...

Apart from the clouds I wouldn't say the graphics are better than cod! Like I said maybe the picture doesn't do it justice...

It really looks amazing. Even on midrange rigs it runs great. If you look into the details youll see that clod has more of them. But when do you have the time to look for details in a dogfight?
Also my personal opinion on the coulds is that the ones in warthunder look better. They are somewhat fuzzy but they are MONUMENTAL as they should be. Not just small dots. Also when you fly through them their water flows over wwulr canopy wich simply looks great.
Its free to play. So everyone should at least consider applying to beta and see for themselves.
BIG WARNING. Consider arcade mode only for your leveling. Simulatorsetting without icons would be the way to fly it to get a simmish experience.

No it doesn't do it justice IMO. Some of the screenies and videos are alphas. I have seen much nicer stuff than that. Graphics are subjective, but there is no doubt that sim has nice graphics and it runs smooth as silk. Also there sheer variety of dramatic landscapes offered is pretty nice. South Pacific, Africa, England, France Berlin Russia......No flickering shadows, no shimmering and AA and AF all work well.

Some aspects of CoD graphics are better, some not. High up on a clear day in CoD is better. CoD has some things better the other does too. Some areas/maps are rendered better than others in both sims. One thing for sure the graphics run WAY better than CoD.

I bombed a factory in a Mustang yesterday and the detail was amazing nothing like it in CoD. However, I have seen some graphics that CoD does better. No clear winner here IMO. It will come down to taste I'm afraid and whether CoD can fix its graphics problems.

Perhaps you will like CoD better in every way, but for me it is a toss up for a variety reasons. Stability is part of it.

I will play both. CoD for the DM and FM, the other for the dramatic and diverse scenery and variety of scenarios.

I have no problem with playing two games I really don't see the point in setting up camp in one spot when you have two tents

I have to say that my experience with f2p games like wot (which btw IS a steaming pile of dung) is what is turning me off this game. From what I have read and heard of these "f2p" aka "pay to win" games you can quickly blow a whole wad of cash, I almost did in wot and won't be burnt again...
