Someone just posted a screenshot of a Bf-109e they are working on, and rumors of other WWII content in the works it could be great fun, but I love the P-51 from DCS even though its not one of my favorite planes from WWII.

As soon as someone comes up with a decent GUI for running coop missions, I predict many will change their tune.

They'll need a decent SDK for the mission designers too, the coding is just too complicated for the average person to delve into, even with the great Kodiak's help.

Awesome, I was hoping since they now have access to a 190 that they would be working on that , will have to wait.

Please could you post a link.

The other beta is OK, some good points, some not so good. It will be interesting to see how both play out when relatively finished. In the end I will spend most of my time flying the better one, which is still quite unclear. Right now my money would be on the new IL-2 series providing a better simulation if finished, but the question is, how long will the new IL-2 series beancounters patience last. My guess at the moment, would be, that people who enjoy quick furbal type missions will gravitate to the other sim while those that prefer more complex missions and organized online wars will gravitate to the new IL-2 series. For the moment I wil enjoy what the other has to offer now, while waiting to see how the more detailed and complex IL-2 series development plays out.

By quick furball type missions you mean the general area around Hawkinge on the ATAG server?

Thats the beauty of the COD map and future maps. You can choose to fly quick furbal missions over Hawkinge, Calais, or even deep penetration missions as far as London, and always have a home field to land at. The other map may still only include Manston, Hawkinge, and Canterbury, which is adequate for furbals, but totally useless for most complex missions.

I couldn't believe how significantly different this 'thing' was to COD. It was like flying a cartoon. After only a short time I exited the game, and yes I felt dirty. smile:

I now have a new found calmness over the waiting period for those problems surrounding this magnificent sim. It annoyed me that there over a thousand people flying the other piece of crap, but I think it was because they had coop type missions available, and a crappy arcade option catering for 12 year olds.

The mob that created the other sim have been bleating how good theirs is but it holds nothing next to our sim. Anyway, I will wash myself clean by never again doubting that this 'is' the best sim available, and I just need to be a bit more patient waiting for things to be fully fixed.

A nightmare scenario would be this sim failing and we're left with those other things, they call sims, as the only alternative.

Now deleting that 7G of junk off my PC.
You really have to start a thread about this to comfort yourself? Currently COD bores me to death and DCS World stutters like hell on my pc. My stick makes planes all wobbly in ROF. I fire up Black Shark 1 from time to time but since it has no mission generator I guess I kinda did all in full realism.

So what's left for me? Fire up one of those freemium games? If so, what's wrong with that?

All of those softwares are games. Even DCS which is a monster of a game that takes months to get right (especially the chopper) is just a game. You're not more brilliant if you like it harder or dumber if you like it more straightforward.

If realism is what you are looking for why aren't you all on steelbeasts?

It's like ice cream, if you stuff your face with chocolate you're not less a pig than the guy who goes vanilla.

Anyway I don't really care, I don't know why I post, I must be retarded.
