Out of interest, how old was the disk and what will you replace it with - SSD?

RAID-1 or RAID-5 would be even better for reliability

The server is not ours. We pay a hosting company for the hardware and bandwidth.
There might be RAID configurations available but they will be more expensive and I think we can all live without the server for a couple of days while is being rebuilt.

I am not so sure if I really want to wait so long. After some break I just started to be quite enthusiastic about the CLOD and ATAG dream team again.
