Because the last time the estimates weren't met to the second Maddox Games was torn to pieces by the "Gimme-gimme-wanna-have"-crowd?

Not that their estimates have ever been particularly exact, mind you, but people here have the unfortunate tendency not to read what is posted but to read what they want to read. And woe betide you if reality then doesn't match imagination!

To be honest though, i think we are way past the point where one answer will create more of a meltdown than the other if you know what i mean.

Very soon as in tomorrow ? Or very soon as in 2 months from now ? Could you be a little more specific ? Hopefully the work on the AI is successful. Right now I can follow large groups of enemy fighter from about .10 of a mile or right on their tail and fire for minutes on end and no response from them like I wasn't even there. All of a sudden after I shoot a couple down the rest go into rolling frenzies with 3 rolls per second and fly like a circus act . I would say AI fix should be a HIGH PRIORITY since online barely even works and all there really is , is offline mode .Other than that a very cool looking game , runs pretty smooth .

I wouldn't agree with that... I agree with what you say about fixing the AI but to say the online doesn't work whereas the offline does......... In my experience, and many others out there, it's the other way round. I think I've only had about 10 ctds in the entire time flying with JG26 online (I'm not counting the few more I've had when leaving servers and/or starting the game up... I'm talking the "Ok.. engaging now... DAMN!" moments. lol). Offline, it's a matter of starting up engines, rolling down the runway and... Crash to desktop.

Because doing so and missing that date will see 1C crucified even more viciously than they currently are. And if you think the boards are bad now, it's nothing compared to what they'd be if they posted a date and couldn't meet it.
