Is it just me being a newb then? what is the correct protocol for quick climb and boost control on the Spit2a? I've heard folks talking about the boost, but for me there is no difference between 40%-110% throttle other than manifold pressure going through the roof as far as I can tell, no extra rpms, no extra speed etc...

I can confirm the same thing in the 109, I let the RPM get too high for too long, and no damage messages, but definitely ruined my engine.
