Cod is what we call in our society a "product".
In our society we pay for every day of delay on the delivery of a product.
This is a very positive thing and has a lot of sense.

There's also a law in some conuntries that safeguard consumers, a law that came from an ancient Roman law called "aliud pro alio" (something for something else).
