Doesn't make SLI work on my SLI machine. At this point, CloD works better on my single card machine. Monitoring shows only one core working and of course 100% video memory. SLI uses only one cards memory anyway, so SLI is a detriment at this point for CloD, because it uses so much video memory. A single card with 1.5GB is better than 2 in SLI with 1.0 GB each.

Then you're not doing something right. AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) means that one card will draw even frames while one card will draw odd frame. Some games do this by splitting the screen in 1/2, others by drawing certain aspects while the other card handles the rest. Obviously, without a real profile for IL2COD it's not scaling to it's full potential. It is indeed scaling though, and I get a 10FPS average increase on the black death track on max gfx settings with this setup. I've also gone from 50ish with one card to 80-100 FPS online with SLI on. If AFR is enabled you will never have a situation where one card is doing 100% and another 10%. With AFR enabled both cards should output almost equally. Mine stay around 70% usage.

It's only when I use Nvidia's recommended SLI settings (not the settings I said to use) that one card does 100% and the other 10%.

Every time I install new drivers I get a blue screen. So I always do it with safe mode and it's worked every time since then. Maybe try installing them in safe mode?

+1. And I never install the updater or any of the other rubbish, just the video driver.

Not me. I never get a blue screen, you must be doing something wrong.

Oh, they don't. They just don't live in here 24/7 and there's only three of us.

Thread cleanup performed, relevant posts moved to the arguments and speculations megathread in the pilot's lounge section.

The following apply to all, not just you:

Don't act like one person's version of the story somehow carries more weight than the rest. CoD ran fine for me after the first patch and does so for many people, others still have problems. Same with A-10, some people had issues during the beta and some had less of them. Not everyone had the same experience as you did and it's statistically impossible for all of them to be liars on a "fanboy" mission, just like it's statistically impossible for everyone who faces problems with CoD to be a liar on a "whiner" mission.

Same applies for facts, different interpretations of the same one can exist: depending on what aspect of gameplay is more important to each person, they might be more, less or completely not annoyed with certain issues, depending on their general mentality their speculation on why the release was handled such and such or how/if/when the sim gets adequately patched will also differ.

Let's not be narrow-minded here and strive for the impossibility of absolute uniformity, shall we?

There are a lot of valid and useful ways to express criticism and propose changes. Venting is not one of them and drags other posters down into similar behavior.

And then i take my bulldozers and shovels and move all the rubble here: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=25051
so that the people who are actually interested in the original topic of the thread can have a civil discussion like normal people talking about a hobby, without having their eyes bleed in the process due to reading the same things taking place among the same people over and over again.
