What I found a while back is that the system memory does not dump upon a mission ending. At least that was the case with the 1.00.14101 patch.
The ram in my case just kept getting used more and more the more missions I flew, and eventually stutters and pauses found their way into the game as a result. I'm not sure if it's still the case with this new patch, but it certainly caused issues for me on long missions, or consecutive missions, in the last official patch.
