I have an almost similar system you have. Duo6600 running at 3.4ghz. I think what saves your performance is the 470. I'm running an 8800gts 640mb and my performance over land is in the mid teens. Over water I can have a nice dogfight in the high twenties. Still stuck with the 14072 beta patch. Everything after it performs worse.
