Someone who would have joined the RAF at the age of 18 in 1940 would have been 79 years old when IL2 was released in november 2001. The probability is low to have such a guy playing IL2 but it's still possible to find aces of some more recent wars like Corea or Vietnam who could give us a good appréciation of IL2 as they also fought with canons at subsonic speeds.

I still remember the quote of a war pilot about the transition between propeller fighters and jets: "If you can fly at 1000 km/h and if your opponent is also able to do it, what is the difference ? Zero.

That makes me think that the serie SOW will also model the Corea war with Migs vs Sabres

There are at least two WW2 US fighter pilots that play the sim.

Pas de quoi, c'est avec plaisir! ... mais j'aime pas trop les frites, je suis né en Pologne et je n'ai émigré dans ce beau pays, terre des droits de l'homme, qu'es la Belgique qu'après avoir eu le temps de m'être impreigné des valeurs culinaires slaves

T'as de la chance d'habiter la Réunion, je prévois ce lieu magique comme prochaine destination de découverte, si les doux parfum des caraïbes ne me fais pas changer d'avis
