Cool - in a few years screens shaped like this but of much better quality will be very cheap. The new movement is towards OLED which can be made on a flexible and large surface, so for example you have a hand held tv screen that you could bend in a full circle.
In a few years when it can be mass manufactured for larger screens you will be able to make your cockpit or have a wall as a tv
They just are starting to produce them now for lighting I believe, they have them as strips/surface of a roof or wall and they emit white light, which is ambient. They also use next to no power.
