wow, looks cool... But $1,500 for a piece of plastic or whatever it is?? Seems a bit pricey.

I bet it's a little more then just a bit-o-plastic.

Looks awesome!

roger that, probably some special projector screen fabric and some plastic... But still kinda pricey for me.

Would really love to see it in action and try it out, especially with the 3d stuff they had going on. I think for now though I'll stick with my projector and hopefully one day get a newer one that does 120hz so I can try out the 3d glasses.

Cool - in a few years screens shaped like this but of much better quality will be very cheap. The new movement is towards OLED which can be made on a flexible and large surface, so for example you have a hand held tv screen that you could bend in a full circle.

In a few years when it can be mass manufactured for larger screens you will be able to make your cockpit or have a wall as a tv :)
They just are starting to produce them now for lighting I believe, they have them as strips/surface of a roof or wall and they emit white light, which is ambient. They also use next to no power.

OK but don't think you're getting <20 fps on that kind of resolution even with quadcore fast processor, 8 gigs of RAM and even dual GTX 580.

This has been out a while but I think the company has gone belly up.

I think the basic unit was around $20,000.00 USD
