Beautiful aircraft. Was lucky enough to see her at RAF Fairford RIAT this year, certainly my favourite display there since the last B-2 flyover (BBMF don't count, they have a head-start on awesome ^_^).
Soviet is right that Germany uses, or at least used MiG-29 - the East German MiG-29Gs were bought up by the newly unified Germany and fitted with some Western avionics systems. |

I saw her (vulcan bomber) twice this year. She is one loud plane!
had one here at blackpool as a gate guardian until a couple of years ago, it was good to se one actually flying and hear that raw power... though as nice as it was...... its just not a merlin ![]() 6 merlins all flying over at once is a nice sound that cant be beaten!! (BBMF, lanc x4 spit x1 hurrican x1) |

Now I'm not sure where this is shot, but the paint job is definitely Normandie-Niemen. Who were French pilots flying for the Soviets in WW2. This is the only Yak-3 I know of, that is actually flying with a reproduction VK-105PF-2 engine. Unlike the more familiar Airshow Yak-3 "White 100" which is powered by an Allison. Anyway, enjoy. ![]() |
