Indeed.

I still haven't gotten over the fact that i missed her perform at Cosford Airshow (my local Airshow) after they restored her to flying condition

Im annoyed cause it flew over my house to Southport but i couldnt see it.

I saw her (vulcan bomber) twice this year. She is one loud plane!

had one here at blackpool as a gate guardian until a couple of years ago, it was good to se one actually flying and hear that raw power...

though as nice as it was......

its just not a merlin

6 merlins all flying over at once is a nice sound that cant be beaten!! (BBMF, lanc x4 spit x1 hurrican x1)

Rolls Royces all the same though, alot better (dare i face the wrath) than those Soviet ones.
But no the Olympus went on to power Concorde.

Back on topic I think Nimrod is a good name.

Beautiful aircraft. Was lucky enough to see her at RAF Fairford RIAT this year, certainly my favourite display there since the last B-2 flyover (BBMF don't count, they have a head-start on awesome ^_^).

Soviet is right that Germany uses, or at least used MiG-29 - the East German MiG-29Gs were bought up by the newly unified Germany and fitted with some Western avionics systems.
