Default Another rookie from the US - question too -

Hello all,

I have been wandering these boards for a while now. I plan on getting it for the PS3.

I played a little IL 2 on the PC but I have to admit, found the realistic mode frustrating at times and really didn't get into it as much as I'd like due to time restraints. I have moved to console gaming for the past 3 years because it allows me to focus on gaming rather than upgrading PC hardware all the time.

This game looks like it might be right up my alley and I am REALLY excited for this to come out. I have played Blazing and my stomach turns after 3min of fly time! I am 32yrs old but feel like a kid again

One question I have for the people that have the Xbox demo and a stick...

How do you find the "hat switch" look around to work? For some reason I am curious on how easy and fluid this will work. And what button do you push to zoom in? I think that if this feature doesn't work easily that it will cause a lot of headache. In a dogfight being able to keep an eye on your enemy in a tight turn is essential.

I plan on getting the Thrustmaster HOTAS for the PS3 and I know that it will be different than the current Xbox sticks.

Thank you for reading and I plan on seeing a lot of you in the sky come September! Especially getting shot down by a lot of you more experienced simmers!
