what the hell, man. why bother even releasing the pc version, when you're seemingly only going to support steam going forward.

Pc version is a steam version.... anyone who bought the game in retail has gamespy cd key to play it online, you can use that gamespy cd key to register the game with steam and thus receive automatic patching and achievements for the game. The version is still PC.... As for DLC they needed a simple and cheap way to support dlc so its only available through steam, but anyone who owns the game can register it with steam.
