Ace Edge Learning Curve

I just got my new Ace Edge stick/throttle in the mail and had my first play last night and I have to say that I feel like a retard all over again. The stick is great, quality build, minimal deadzone, everything in the right place, but coordinating looking, pitch, roll, rudder and throttle feels all new. I had gotten pretty good at it on the gamepad but moving to the Ace Edge feels like starting over. Has anyone else had this experience of having a steep learning curve with moving from the gamepad to a stick set-up?

Also, the most frustrating thing is setting trim, with having a little bit of a deadzone (but really, its not that bad) it is really hard to get it right quickly, does anyone have a good method?

Also are there any controls options, or even a diagram for the Ace Edge in-game? Does anyone know where the change view button is? I can't seem to find it.
