Btw. I tried some dogfights in "simulator" setting in Warthunder yesterday. And despite the fact that the stalls werent as violent as in cliffs it didnt feel all that diffrent... Sound is not as good but that gets compensated by the graphics
![]() Acrace mode on the other hand sucks. Its dominated by people that pla with mouse in 3rd person view (much easier to aim this way) and people that own the biggest bombers and decide the map in a matter of minutes. Hopefully this will be changed once there is some sort of matchmaking option ingame. Winger |

There are shortcomings with the other one as there are shortcomings with CoD. The other one is far nicer graphics and more dramatic. Arcade sucks but you don't have to play it just like you don't have to turn on anti epilepsy or easy mode in CoD. Bottom line is that in beta the other one is far better running software than CoD will be in 6 months from now. So you will have a choice, Unfinished broken software with some aspects of more realism and larger maps or smooth running better looking graphics with smaller but more varied and more numerous maps, a pretty good simulator mode and an arcade mode you won't and don't need to play like you don't play CoD on easy mode. People will either play both or line up in there respective corners and hurl insults at each other for choosing the wrong one. That part is happening already, even from people who have not even flown the other one. Personally I like some things about both and hate some things about both. The first one to erase the most hates wins in my book. |

FYI I haven't played the game and this is a picture from the website so i do not have any idea what the setting are no but...
![]() Apart from the clouds I wouldn't say the graphics are better than cod! Like I said maybe the picture doesn't do it justice...

Also my personal opinion on the coulds is that the ones in warthunder look better. They are somewhat fuzzy but they are MONUMENTAL as they should be. Not just small dots. Also when you fly through them their water flows over wwulr canopy wich simply looks great. Its free to play. So everyone should at least consider applying to beta and see for themselves. BIG WARNING. Consider arcade mode only for your leveling. Simulatorsetting without icons would be the way to fly it to get a simmish experience. Winger |

Some aspects of CoD graphics are better, some not. High up on a clear day in CoD is better. CoD has some things better the other does too. Some areas/maps are rendered better than others in both sims. One thing for sure the graphics run WAY better than CoD. I bombed a factory in a Mustang yesterday and the detail was amazing nothing like it in CoD. However, I have seen some graphics that CoD does better. No clear winner here IMO. It will come down to taste I'm afraid and whether CoD can fix its graphics problems. Perhaps you will like CoD better in every way, but for me it is a toss up for a variety reasons. Stability is part of it. I will play both. CoD for the DM and FM, the other for the dramatic and diverse scenery and variety of scenarios. |
