Well I took to the skies for the first time in an age as I wait for CloD to become Operational and was pleasantly surprised at the Frame-rates Over the Sea), however my Joy was short-lived

After successfully shooting down two aircraft then crashing into the Sea, I hit Escape to go out of the Mission....Oh Dear!

Game went back to desktop, but the Program was still running as the Launcher was still active. In the end I had to "End Process" of the Launcher.exe to get back into the game, suffice to say the track of the shoot-down was gone and I am now having to refly it

I have CloD through Steam, deleted the Game-Cache and verified the files to update to the latest version on my Windows 7 64-Bit System with all the latest drivers for the Realtek On-board sound and Nvidia 560GTX TI.

So I don't know what bug it is, but hitting escape after a mission gets the game straight back to the desktop, but with the Launcher.exe still running

Cheers, MP

I seem to be getting a gradual degradation of performance as the game progresses as well. I have been trying roadczar's ATI xfire workaround (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23180) and gave a brief description in that thread.

To cut a long story short, the increased initial performance using the workaround has possibly made the gradual degradation in FPS more noticeable to me now.

Could be a memory leak in the game...

What I found a while back is that the system memory does not dump upon a mission ending. At least that was the case with the 1.00.14101 patch.

The ram in my case just kept getting used more and more the more missions I flew, and eventually stutters and pauses found their way into the game as a result.
I'm not sure if it's still the case with this new patch, but it certainly caused issues for me on long missions, or consecutive missions, in the last official patch.

That would certainly explain it, but I wouldn't know how to test it (sadly, I'm not quite technical enough). Definitely sounds like a prime suspect though, it would produce exactly the behaviour we've been seeing.

Yes, probably. Also intel multicore processors at hyper-thearding feature may be a problem with this game – not yet sufficient support?

Can someone verify that key assignments for magneto still work after the last patch, not by mouse but by the keyboard, I have had several new issues that were not present before the last update, intermittent controls -Throttle axis, key assignments for magneto prev and next and seem to be differently affected between the Hurri and the Spit.

Well I've done a little testing, and though I've not used a cpu/ram monitor (bit burned out testing this game tbh) I can confirm something is happening to degrade performance over time. On initial load/first flight I get no CTDs and decent performance. By the third mission (including repeats of the same mission) I get several second CTDs when accessing the Esc menu in flight. By the fourth or fifth mission I'm getting the 'Low performance - disable Aero?' dialogue, fps has dropped noticeably and stutter starts to return. Swapping between different missions seems to exacerbate the problem; staying with the same mission causes less slowdown but it is definitely still present.

There is definitely something causing an over-time performance degradation, very possibly the aforementioned RAM not clearing after a mission. I'm highlighting this so Luthier & co see it, hopefully they'll be able to identify just what it is that's causing the problem and fix it!

EDIT: finally tried a proper test and ram usage goes from 63% on the first flight to 78% by the fourth or fifth.
