Ok so I extracted the patch into Steam /Common /il2cliffs folder and clicked over write all files . Meanwhile when I start it up in the top right hand screen it stills says 1.05.15950 . What am I doing wrong?

Suggest you go back and edit your posts and add any missing specs.

Just saying its great or its naff doesn't mean anything unless you say what you are trying to run.

Plus everyone that still gets CTDs please send your crash dump files to 1C as per Blacksix request.

Definately no cloud shadow though.
Turn vsynk off. If you need it make sure to force triple buffering ON with a 3rd party utility (check my sig). Vsynk traps fps to 60, 30 or 15.

They just have their "Advanced Flying" skill set too high by default.

Thanks for the patch Devs.

After some poor reports and against my better judgement I risked installing the patch and I'm pleasantly surprised. CloD already ran well on my system (spec below) but stutter is now non-existent and I'd say I'm getting a 10-15fps boost as well. I'm running without clouds and fps are 70-120 with Vsync on (120hz monitor) For me credit where credit is due...well done Devs!

I did have a 'white' Spitfire' on take off on the Airfield Attack QM but other than that no problems as yet. I reckon it's worth a re-boot after patch installation if things don't seem right.

The Hurricane FM now feels a bit like what it must be like to fly a double decker bus IMO

Check folder paths and copy folder by folder to appropriate locations again.

Ok I extracted Bob and Core seperatley into their folders . hopefully that works. Edit : Nope that didn't work either . DamBit ! Are you telling me that everyone on this sight installing the patch is extracting every folder sereatley into all their respective folders ? Am I doing the right thing by selecting over write files?

S!

Pencon, simpliest way is just to extract the package then COPY the PARTS folder that appears and drop it in the IL-2 Folder under STEAM Works.

After : 24/44/1 (not fluid at all)

But maybe the Death Track isn't good because it has clouds and grass ... ???
Try to run it 2 times with FPS counter OFF and measure only the 3rd pass. It may take time for windows to cache new files, textures, etc.

Also original texture quality may cause issues.

With SSD file fragmentation should not be a huge issue, but try defragging the game folder after patching anyway.
