Check your PP gauge is set to 12.00. PP is working on the wrong way.

Same for me with the PP going automatically to 9 o'clock (for BF109 which i fly nearly exclusivly). Then i can change it back by commands. Annoying but no real prob.
Performance is pretty good, still stutters here and there but less than before. Playing on high preset in MP now. The most annoying thing to me is now heavy sound stutters which makes the game now nearly unplayable for me in MP, without just muting it. I tried several things like updating sound drivers (onboard Realtek chip) and this sound exclusive thing in windows device settings but nothing helped for me. No sound probs in SP, as i already mentioned yesterday. Kudos to Luthier and Team for this incredible developing progress since release. I'm really impressed and my glass i still half full! ![]() thx a lot mugen |

i can understand that the Pitch wants to go to a basic setting when the game/mission starts on the ground with stopped engine... but could that not be the 12:00 setting please ? What you need anyway when you are starting....................

while in MP, no sound from the beginning with occasional stutters of sounds and then silence again.
when i looked at the console i saw a repeating error that FOOT.WAV is missing. flying with the last hotfix, Q6600@2.4, GTX 560 TI, 6GB ram. |

I'll repeat what I posted above, as all do not seem to have seen it:
I've found two switches in Windows: Sounds -> Playback -> [device] -> Properties -> Advanced -> Exclusive Mode UNCHECK this. I've tried many servers, sounds are all on. 56RAF_phoenix |

thanks for the quick fix, but this is grating me, we have to keep making all these sorta system changes just for this game.

Does it act like a 3 position switch now? Before it was a smooth lever but it seems it has a top, middle and bottom. Are you finding this as well?

Yes, now it acts like a 3 position switch but I have to invert my control axis to make it work correctly. Also in the motor info window the prop pitch control slider is inverted. If you raise the rpm, you push the prop pitch contorol up, the slider in the montor info window goes down.

The cloud keeps backups of your configuration files and control settings on some Steam server. If you have messed up your conf.ini you can enable this and it will restore the backup. However, doing so will cancel any changes you have made after the last "cloud backup" was done. This is why people lose controls. What you can do is run the sim, go to options-->controls and click on the "save as" button. This will let you save your controls locally on your disk. Then you can enable the cloud thing to get your conf.ini to default standards. After this is done (i guess it needs to run and exit the sim once to do it), you can turn it off again. Finally, you can go once again to options-->controls and press the load button. You'll get a windows pop-up menu asking you where you controls file is, just point it to the location on your hard-disk where you saved it. This will restore all your controls. Short version: 1) Save your controls from within the game interface on your hard disk 2) Exit the sim, enable cloud. 3) Run and exit the sim to "fix" your configuration files to default standards 4) Load your previously saved controls from within the game interface. Maybe it's standard operating procedure to feather the prop before shutting everything down? This would prevent windmilling when the aircraft is parked on the ground and the wind blows, which could damage the engine or cause accidents (if the ignition remained to on by accidents). |

The prop pitch control on BF 109s was indeed a three position rocker switch on the control column, and not a lever. Push it one way and the pitch increased, push the other and it decreased. The "hands off" neutral position left it where it was last set.
