Yeah wan't he one of the top British aces? He had a real fear of crashing on fire... and that's exactly how he died. Apparently he didn't fire his pistol though.

Yeah he was known as the ace of aces of the British Empire credited with 47 kills. Its believed he may have attempted to bail out of his aircraft before he hit the ground but without a parachute his revolver may have been the better option

I like how everyone is so quick to bashing America, at least now I know that Europeans and others don't really dig the policies (for real, not just some theory or assumption!) I'm thinking of moving to Denmark?
