I just unlocked the K-4 while playing online with the G-6. One thing i do not understand is in witch mode you unlock them. I got the K-4 in a ranked dogfight. Are there any people that unlocked planes outside of ranked match? This also means that if you would want to unlock the b-17 you would have to get a lot of bomber kills....

I haven't unlocked any planes online yet... But I have unlocked weapons for the Hurricane Mk. II in a player match, so as others said I don't think it really matters if it's a ranked or player match.

SO MANY BF-109's!!!!!! All i know is i can't wait to start bombing stuff online with my friends...all i need though is a B-17...now how the hell do i do that.

The answer is simple: the plane you use helps unlock another type of plane in the same family. Spits for Spits, 109s for 109s. I have been doing a lot of Strike lately and seem to get a lot of unlocks when I go off bombing. I'm really hoping for that B-17 just to have it, I would prefer a B-24. Lots of anger in this thread, especially considering we don't have any clear picture of the entire unlocking strategy, just a few scarce things here and there.

. Hi everyone Im edal86, for a long time (2/3 months) I have been trying to post but was doing something wrong I guess. Anyhow, it appears that there is a specific way to unlock planes online. I unlocked the BF 109 K-4 online after using the BF 109 F-4. Killing 100 planes online has nothing to do with it. It is more of a use and get kills with the BF 109's and unlock other BF 109 models. My friend unlocked Spitfire XVI and guess what, all he uses online is Spitfire models.
