I bet she would spend that much money on a dress or something!

Deadzone is alright, as far as i know not much to do about it.
There are some mods for the stick you can aply to make it feel a bit better

So the mods you can apply are just for comfort and dont effect the actual control of the stick?

well some guys changed the button placement,
And using those wraps around the spring losens tension on the stick.

But nothing to decrease deadzone i think.

I don't really notice any deadzone with the AV8R on the ps3.

Is the deadzone that bad for the AV8R? I have the Ace Edge and its has one to but its tolerable. Id like to pick on up for a friend, but I dont want him to be worse off than if he was just using a regular controller.

Well its just my opinion but i think its pretty bad. The stick controls well overall but when it comes to minute adjustments it becomes quite a pain.

For instance, when trying to shoot a bomber, i zoom in and try to aim for the engines, apply pressure to the stick and nothing happens, then i add slightly more pressure and the input kicks in and jerks my aim.

I think it will take a lot of getting used to, but i still find it preferable (and more fun) than a game pad.

Ace Edge or Hori atleast has less deadzone then AV8R

No it doesn't.

Neither controller has an actual deadzone.

The game itself has a deadzone, programmed in there by the developer.

To see that I am talking about, go plug the aviator into the PC. You could then go into the controller settings, and see that there is no deadzone at all in the actual hardware.

I can live with the dead zone on my av8r. What is hard to get used to is the binary response of the rudder. I haven´t checked if the controller has the same behaviour, but with the aviator the rudder is really all or nothing. Really annoying when aiming.
