Well...

Yeah the Hori Flight Stick Black is a unique Japanese only piece of hardware, but literally the only thing that makes it unique is that it is black.

It is the exact same stick as the Ace Edge (Which is a Hori stick, no surprise) in every other way.

Yes this does seem to be the case from further investigation... I wonder why its not for sale outside of Japan and outside of the Ace Combat bundle? I guess they must have some deal together to make it exclusive to boost sales of Ace Combat 6,

This is the X360 version on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Hori-Flight-Stic...d=p3286.c0.m14

If it is the one for the X360 it is clearly stated on the box.

All 360 flightstick have to adhere to a standardization set by MS to be licensed, so they all work with any game that supports flightsticks.

[EDIT]

Also, as mentioned already... It is the exact same stick as the Ace Edge, made by the exact same company. Yes, it is compatible.

Pricey. Is this version compatible with the PC as well? I don't really want to spend around £180 on a flight stick I will only use with one game.

Except wireless ones for which you can get an inexpensive wireless receiver from Microsoft anyway.
