I meant 720p is the minimum resolution that they allow a game to be released in. Of course it has 1080 also. What I'm saying is the game has to atleast be made in 720 p and up. If you still have a SD tv the 360 will downgrade the game image to work on your SD tv. I hope that clears thing up.

This what Anton said when I asked about 1080p
Anton Yudintsev Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Posts: 223 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The game is pretty the same on PS3. Same resolution, same AA&anisotropy level. There are technical differences (platforms ARE different, if you want to utilize their power, not only use common denominator), but all effects and visuals are in place. |

the resolution you set in 'Settings' on you xbox will not change the way the game renders images. Like Halo3, it says 720p/1080 on the box, but some people found out that it actually runs at 1152x640 and scales to 720/1080.
Very few games run at 1080 native. So what you see is an upscaled image, and that does not improve image quality one bit. Try out the different resolutions - I find that 720 gives the sharpest image I'll eat my avatar if Birds of Prey runs at 1080!!! ![]() |
