Unhappy Terrible performence , fps drops badly

Hello .

My performence in Cryostasis is horrible , I keep getting massive lag and fps drops . There are times when games run smoothly but there are time it doesn't . Here's my specs :

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GSO

Is there any way to make my game run smoother ? I already LOWERED all the settings , turn off everything I can , and run the game in 800x600 . But sadly even then , the game is very laggy !

Your Pentium 4 CPU is killing you. In one of my old systems, I had the same CPU and an 8500GT. I swapped out the 8500GT for a 9600GT, no difference in performance.

Get a new MOBO/CPU if you can. A cheap socket 775 MOBO (EVGA 730i) and a cheap Intel dual core processor (Intel Pentium D E5200 + overclock) would help a lot.

Wait a bit, don't rush out and upgrade your system just yet. Nothing short of a render farm is going to fix your framerate issues with this game as it was released before it was completed.

I have a Core2Quad at 3.2GHz, 4GB of RAM at 1066 and an Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 on Vista64 and this game runs like ass whereas everything else I own runs like melted butter over a smokin' hot 18 year old catholic schoolgirl's arse.

Wait for the game to be fixed before making any upgrade decisions if at all.

Haha , you got a way with words Billy boy ! Yeah , I doubt I'm going to upgrade my rig cuz I was able to play fear 2 , far cry 2 , crysis warhead , condemned , and other modern fps without lowering too much of settings and STILL get terrible performence . Just wonderin if it's my rig or the game , that's all .

That Pentium 4 cpu is holding you back a lot. Hell, my Opteron 180 held me back with an 8800 GT, when I upgraded to and E8400, difference was night and day.
