yep.. it was some sort of field modification at first .. just attempt to give some more defense to that plane ... an attempt to provide at least some kind of protection from emeny fighters..

and after some time Li2 became a night bomber which was used in ADD (Long Range Aviation regiments)

Ah! Interesting. I thought that it might be useful against searchlights (it certainly is in the sim).

Do you know anything about the RS-82 equipped Li-2 field mod? I wasn't able to find any photos of that field mod. The same goes for the NS-45 equipped version.

I discussed it with Borovik here and he didn't seem to know of any surviving photos either:

The cargo capacity is really nice to have. Are you considering modelling the versions with FAB-500 or 8xFAB-100?
