Retaining the basic mission generator, FCB should give control on: map and date, number and type of missions, type of aircraft involved for each mission or group of missions. And to fine-tune the whole, control on weather, AI pilots experience, units involved, camouflage and markings.
This is exactly what DGEN_mod and DCG actually allow you to do (if I understand correctly what you request).
