I got the desire to fly IL-2 again today, and I see this post right off the bat. Rather fitting I must say. I flew the skies on Hyperlobby from 2001-2009. Many times since I have gotten the urge to install the game and fire up HL, but it never materialized. So few people on HL it hardly seemed worth it. Plus it has been so long, and how would my ego take being a rookie again.
But I think I am going to install it, drag out my old CH Hotas and pedals, and TrackIR and give it a try. Hopefully I can find all the patches and whatnot.
I have noticed IL-2 64 is available on Steam. I spend most of my time on Steam these days, and I was wondering if there is an online community there. If there is, how does it compare to HL?
I hope to see some old vets, of one of the greatest games ever created during my stay. I hope you are all doing very well in life.
