If you have your XP maxed on patches and everything - I would strongly recommend you to turn the HW to service vendor - maybe you mainboard or one of the memory bars has a hardware problem. As you system is quite new - you should use your warranty.. IMHO Don't forget - it may be only worse (even if you can ignore it by saying to yourself "2 gigs are fine" but remember it may get worse)

Time to participate in this lovely community.
![]() My specs are: Intel Core 2 duo E750 2,66GhZ 2GB RAM Vista 32Bit Service Pack 1 Geforce 9500GT 22" HP w2216 screen. Game runs very smoothly at 1640 x 1050 but when I turn on anti ailasing it's like a slug with a half a ton of bricks on it's back. (Even in lower resolution.) But i'm very happy the way it runs now. Runs smooth, looks smooth. ![]() |

The ONLY problem I have is when turning on AA. It's slows the game down so much, it becomes unplayable. Not that I have to, in my current resolution (1680 x 1050 in max settings) everything is as sharp and smooth as it can get. But that has more to do with my graphics card then anything else. The engine they used is just awesome. It's an engine that gives great FX and superb animations without the need of a "heavy" computer. The only downside I can think of is maybe the polygon count is a bit lower then any other engine, but nothing you can notice. (also helps to keep the game fast) Last edited by WhiteFoxie; 12-27-2008 at 10:28 AM. Reason: Corrected terms |

e8400 with gts 8800 (g92). win xp 32 (won't upgrade until i abs. must - see no need for vista). There is a small chance i'll upgrade the graphic card but 1080P is probably the limit for me and the gts can almost handle that. I currently use a 20 inch monitor because older games prefer 4:3 but eventually I'll go with a 22 or 24 inch 1080p monitor - 24 inch is a bit large for me (for games) so probably 22 inch but not for a couple of more years. Too many games are unhappy with widescreen (even recent games like space rangers 2).

Q6600 @3.2 Ghz, 4GB RAM DDR2 1066, 8800GTX, WD Raptor... playing at 1900x1200, all maxed out antialasing and filtering 4x/16x. That was a high end system 2 years ago, it's pretty much pretty good today, game runs flawlessly.

CPU DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
System Memory 2048 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (512 MB) Monitor Dell 2407WFP [24" LCD] OS XP SP2 32bit I play at the display's native resolution of 1920x1200, 4xAA, everything else maxed out and no problems. Much better than Heroes V: it starts/loads/saves/exits faster and it feels smoother. It does use more memory but that is not an issue. Fewer bugs also. ![]() |
