You're right, after finishing the quest with the milk women/friendly thorn 'mama' i never looked back.
No mods installed, except the one that cuts off the animation of the Spirits and the one that allows me to zoom-out the camera in adventure map.
Re the time of day/night: that's not actually 'late' for me, since i am enjoying my holidays, i like to go to bed very late (or very early, in the early hours hehe).
