double funny: I see no difference from 1.6.5 patch "updates"

When I tried to install it, it prompts that I already have a more update version (1.6.5).

You have retail (box) Nobilis version? If no, then this patch is not for you.

Been lurking about since KB: TL came out. Just want to say that buying this was some of the best money I've spent on a game in several years.

Now for my question: will applying the patch break saves? I'd estimate that I'm halfway through the game at present. If I patch to 1.7, will I have to start over?

The saves from previous version should work with this patch.
