Once I uncompress the initial direct download, install files from are about 2GB. When you install the game from those files they uncompress into about 5GB. Then I have about 750MB of saved games on top of that cause I havn't deleted any.

So I just tried the updated demo and it no longer crashes on my system. Runs nice and smooth as well.

Now when can we expect an update to the retail version to correct the portal crash?

Default game crashes for me as well

Hi,

So I start the game, go past the talking, the game loads and I can see myself on the screen with the messege that I some guy will help me "determine my future" or something. It is the very very beginning of the game, right after the story is being talked.

That's it, I cannot move the mouse, click do anything, it just stays there forever, my CPU running like crazy, cannot alt+tab, alt+ctrl+del, anything at all. The only thing I can do is hard power down my laptop. Any ideas?

Intel Pentium M 1,8 GHz
1 gig RAM
ATI Mobility Fire GL T2

PS. The newer driver for this video card DOES NOT EXIST, I have NW8000 notebook and ATI decided not to release any new drivers for this version of their card. It is a known issue... BUT I don't think this would cause my laptop to completely freeze and need to be killed like that... PLUS I never a problem running ANY other game.

EDIT: I just downloadd and installed the updated demo and exactly the same thing happens.
