Yea, that is a horribly unrealistic ending, knocking the wings off two aircraft and still being able to ditch them, an idea a 5-year old playing with plastic toys would come up with.

**SPOILER ALERT**
The 'surprise' ending was that the pilots crashed in Ireland. I guess the director wants us to believe that the British pilot was so...what...absent-minded...that he did not know he was flying over another country? Look at the world map. There's a huge body of water between Ireland and the United Kingdom. Cute, but I didn't buy it. However, as an aviation buff, I still enjoyed the flying scenes. Aviar
