Really STUPID question

Your character is the commander of the troops, and as such doesn't make a physical appearance on the battlefield, although he does participate (invisibly) by using spells, rage, etc.....

[Imperial Dane]

And uses his stats and skills to support his troops in different ways.. But no, he doesn't actually participate in the battle directly.
