how to get trophies

I haven't messed with trophies in a long time, but this is what I remember:

After winning the easy battle at the Military Academy in Debir, you're given the Officer's Patent, a Level 1 Regalia. You have to equip the item then fight your battles. Trophies are generated automatically, so long as the item is equipped.

Given that the item is not very good (+3% gold and XP), and trophies aren't terribly useful, I don't bother. But give it shot - YMMV.
