Paddy and one of his Irish mates have gone out fishing but have not had a very successful day. On the way home the skipper of the charter vessel decides to stop at a spot where he knows there is a large reef at a depth of about 20 feet and it holds a large amount of Lobster. Seeing nobody on board has caught much in the way of fish to take home he decides to send 2 of the crew wearing scuba gear to get a few lobster for the paying customers. The two crew members get ready, put on the scuba gear and back up to the rail and fall backwards into the water. A Frenchman on board sees this and says, "why do scuba divers always fall backwards into the water?".
Paddy who is the brighter of the two Irishmen on board says: -

"If they fell forward they would still be in the bloody boat".
