besides, being the biggest kid about means every little crackpot wants to have a go, so you kinda need the defence spend.
True, but never receive a ROI on military goods, you spend on their production, and again on the operation of those items. All you get in return all some dead towelheads.
Even worse, a lot of the expensive components are made outside the US which is excellent for your trade deficit.

On the other hand the infrastructure in the US could use some attention, powerlines, fibretechnology, bridges public roads etc. Oddly enough there seems to no cash left for those - although it would improve wealth, support growth and even rewards you with a ROI.

Seriously - wtf? There seems to an issue with setting priorities right.

If you are a MD and you earn the same or nearly the same amount weather you see 8 patients a day or 24 how hard would you work ?
but is that the same level of care that visiting heads of state get?

it's how the system is, and a radical rethink and reorganisation would meet with powerful lobbyists to knacker or neuter it.

No, nor should it be. Health Care is not a constitutional right, it is only an entitlement when/if you qualify for Medicare or Mediaid.

Why would you say that? He basically described the reason America is the greatest nation on earth, You are free to start a business and make it everything you want it to be. Or go the other route and play the investment game.

I think he just described why America is the most sought after place to live in the world. Please tell me why you think hard work is something to be laughed at.

And if we are gonna start throwing around the ignorant insult, its You're not Your....... Just sayin.

Not the case Bub...Americans are keenly aware of their original roots from other countries. Part of the reason why we care so much for those other places ...the local grocer here in the neighborhood is of Swiss decent, he works hard

If America is so great why is the health care industry ranked in the high 30's over the rest of the world??

Makes me wish you would actually know, which requires you to learn first, something about them.

Great for him, chapeau, I expected nothing less. Then again it's not relevant.
Are you aware of the fact we don't like each other here in Switzerland?
Unless there's a threat from the outside you neighbor Kanton(think of it as state[s]) can go to hell.
Provide the threat and we will stick together like glue - but only for the time being.
