Desperatly need help!!

and it says it timed out...i looked it up and people say i should possibly patch the game..but how?

Can you give us a little bit to work with - what's your operating system, is it a steam installation, are you behind a router?

i have windows 7 it is not installed with steam and i am behind a router..

i M in the process of patching but having trouble actually applying the patch to the game

I also thought the military phrase.... "Terminate with extreme prejudice" was sooo clicky..... It now might be useful for anything related to steam.

Once you're done patching, you'll probably have to play with your firewall rules, and either allow the IL2fb.exe external access, or Port 21000, or both.
Make sure you're have not installed your game in any of the Program Files folders, coz you'll be plagued with access rights - This might be your steam patch problem as steam likes to go on your pc, where it shouldn't.
