Stuck, Do I need to restart?

Undead are on the shore right by the archmage tower.

Just walk outside of the archmage tower, they are on the shore itself by the "cannons".

As far as I remember, not the ships are undead at all, inside the ships are elven. They can't land because there are 4 undead monsters at the shore. You have to kill all 4 so the elven ships can land and maybe after that, some elven commander will be inside the Iron Richard's castle. I think some monsters on the map will become friendly after that (can't be attacked anymore). So clear the map prior to this if necessary.

Sometimes a quest line can be a bit tricky, because there are no clear statements about the next step in the questlog. Detailed information on a quest will to be mostly mentioned in the quest assumption, that when you talk to the quest npc about the quest. Just sometimes you have to find out yourself with try and error tactics. ^^

I had not killed the correct 4 undead. Once I did, the plot advanced. I had killed several undead in other beach areas, but not the 4 required. Thanks for the help!
