At any point, do I get to go back to Demonis after the portal to it is closed?

I noticed that a lot of the map didnt get revealed the first time around either...

yes is a portal in north of new kordar

yes, but at least half of the demonis cannot be accessed. I don't understand why they designed the map like that in the first place.

They probably just copied the map from an earlier KB game, but I cannot say for sure (haven't gotten that far yet).
