Take a look on google images. Never seen a photo of a Blenheim in flight with the cowl flaps noticeably open! Even in Africa.
I'll ask my Grandad about it when I next see him. He was a Fitter for 14 squadron and would have had to repair the damage due to pilots flying around with closed cowl flaps if it was indeed an issue! |

I read, and recommended limits seem below what I could do:
The highest is 30 min for 2750 rpm and +9psi And the maximum temp recommended is 235, but I flew above the margin But my sources or interpretation maybe are wrong why am I asked |
